Put up to three tents, packs or pads side by side at one scale, next to a person. Every number's source is on the spec sheet, and every tent has a floor plan page.
Pick what you sleep on. Every tent where it fits side by side with an inch to every wall comes first, lightest first, drawn to scale. Lay any of them out to try your own pads and gear.
Share makes a short link to this layout that you can change or delete here. , which carries the layout in the link itself.
Drag items to move them; packs and shoes can sit in the dashed vestibules. Double-tap an item, or select it and press R, to rotate. Arrow keys nudge 1 in (Shift for 6 in). Delete removes. Double-tap an item to rotate it. Each item's row under "In and around the tent" has buttons to rotate or remove it.
In a vestibule, gear should sit under the sloping fly with an inch to spare, and leave a way out at the door as wide as your shoulders (the shaded strip). Inside, its top should clear the sloping walls. Gear that touches the fly gets wet when the fly does.
The plan above is this floor seen from straight above, with the head end on the left (at the top on a phone). The solid outline is the inner tent's floor. The dashed areas are the vestibules: under the fly, outside the inner tent's walls. The fly and walls are drawn see-through. Drag to turn, scroll or pinch to zoom.

Wall curves are modeled from floor size, peak height and pole style, not measured. Treat a result within an inch or two as too close to call.

Starting from scratch? Describe yourself and the trip, and the planner builds a packing list from typical gear, keeps anything you mark as yours, and says why it picked each item. Have a LighterPack list? Import it and see how it packs.
In LighterPack, open your list, choose Share, then Export to CSV. Choose that file here, or paste what's in it. Weights come from LighterPack; each item's packed size comes from the gear it matches by name.
Every item is drawn from its typical packed size. Share stores this kit and its trip settings under a short link whose preview shows its name and weights; you can change or delete it here. , which carries the whole kit in the link itself.

Worn items and trekking poles stay out of pack weight and base weight. Fuel is counted as a consumable. Tick Have for gear you already own: the planner keeps it, and the shopping list leaves it off.
Suggestions are real models that do the same job at least as well, lightest first. Links go to each maker's page, or to the retailer page its numbers come from. TentCheck earns nothing from them.
